cruiser fanatic Posted May 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) Just found some member photos of a place called the Captains Lounge. Is this where platinum gold and fttf register and get their sign cards Platinum, Diamond, and people staying in Suites check in at the Captain's Lounge. Gold goes to the main boarding lines. FTTF goes to a separate Priority Line. Edited May 9, 2015 by cruiser fanatic
Cruznjuly Posted May 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2015 Platinum, Diamond, and people staying in Suites check in at the Captain's Lounge. Gold goes to the main boarding lines. FTTF goes to a separate Priority Line. When we had FTTF in December, we checked in and waited in the Captain's Lounge. cruiser fanatic Posted May 9, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2015 Thumbnails are always too small. What's it say? It is just a sign in the Captain's Lounge that says Platinum, Diamond, and Suite Guests.
vwrestler171 Posted May 9, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2015 FTTF used to have their own lines too, maybe it just depends on the cruise
love my grandkids Posted May 9, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 9, 2015 BTW in December it had the most disorganized boarding we have seen in 25+ carnival cruises.
kdinkus1 Posted May 9, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 9, 2015 A year ago January, I waited (Platinum) in the Captain's Lounge along with the Diamond and Suite members. (The FTTF group checked in with us but waited in a different area outdoors). After 3 plus hours of waiting, we were finally 'ushered' outdoors into a MASS of people who were already boarding the ship. There were no distinctive lines - people were pushing and shoving trying to find the 'right' place to stand. When we were led to 'our' area, many were outraged because they felt they were being pushed out of the lines they had been standing in and began to push 'us' back. It was pure chaos and I was traveling with my son/his wife/and their 2 year old son who became very upset and frightened. BTW: Once we were on board, we found out that the FTTF group, (who had checked in with us), were actually boarded over 2 hours before the Platinum, Diamonds, and Suite guests. A few of the Diamond members complained and were told that all of us who had waited in the Captain's Lounge, should have been escorted outdoors to wait in the same area that the FTTF group were standing. Needless to say, it was clearly unorganized and now I'm concerned that it will be the same (especially if we wait in the Captain's Lounge), when we travel come January.
Kobayashi Posted May 9, 2015 #10 Share Posted May 9, 2015 You can read my full review of the Miracle including check in here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2203582 FTTF has a separate priority line. The Captain's Lounge is for platinum and diamond. Enjoy your cruise!
SadieN Posted May 9, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 9, 2015 BTW in December it had the most disorganized boarding we have seen in 25+ carnival cruises. That cruise was cursed from the beginning. It was a 'Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong" type of cruise. Our Oct HI cruise had none of your issues, even our check in process was smooth. Rain? We've always been asked to wait outside. The CL holds about 20 seated pax total.

It was VERY CROWDED but we remained inside because we didn't want to 'lose our place' as Platinum to board. (Didn't end up mattering anyway. :()
love my grandkids Posted May 9, 2015 #14 Share Posted May 9, 2015 That cruise was cursed from the beginning. It was a 'Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong" type of cruise. Our Oct HI cruise had none of your issues, even our check in process was smooth. It did have a bunch of things that went wrong but we did make it to Hawaii even if we didnt see much of what we wanted to see.
