Rare dronnygirl Posted May 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2015 Sadly no. You check your bags in and then pick up at the airport as any package holiday. You then take them to the coach and they arrive in your cabin - could take a couple of hours but we've always had them quite quickly. When disembarking, you have to put your bags out the night before but our last cruise we had until 2am to put them out so we could pack the things we'd worn that evening. They put your cases ashore by the ship and, when you leave the ship, you have to identify your cases and take them to the coach yourself. They give you colour coded tags to put on your cases depending on which flight you are on so it all works quite well. You also get time to put any last minute things you have had overnight into your case before putting it onto the coach.
davecttr Posted May 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2015 The reason they don't do it is not all the passengers on the plane will be going to the ship. Some will be going to Thomson hols hotels etc etc. with P&O if the plane is a charter yes but not if they put you on a scheduled flight.

kruzseeka Posted May 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2015 (edited) Also our flight from corfu is about 10pm will we need to leave the ship soon after we dock are can we use the ship until it is time to leave for the airport. Yes - you have full use of all the ship's facilities until your transfer time for your flight (perhaps upto 3 hours before flight time). Your AI is still active too if you have it. You have to vacate your cabin though by around 08.00am but you can book a courtesy cabin to use for a short allocated time slot or book a cabin to use for the day - I'm not sure of the up-to-date cost but it used to be around £35. We never bothered as there is a secure baggage store on board to leave your hand baggage so after breakfast if we had a late departure, we'd just head off into town and make the most of the last day and come back for a meal before going to the airport. You can of course just have a lazy day on board should you wish - with few passengers around. Edited May 10, 2015 by kruzseeka
