Scooters on ferry to St. George

When we were last in Bermuda, June 2013, there was a problem with the large ferry to St. George. The smaller one they were using for that route could not take scooters on board. Can anyone tell me if the larger ferry is back in service and if so how many scooters it will take?

The ferry is as large or larger than any other ferry used in Bermuda, but you're still not allowed to take scooters aboard because of the design of the ferry. It's been that way since 2013 when they started using a US-based ferry that they charter for the St. George's route.
