Here's the situation, I have a cruise booked on Carnival Sunshine for January 2016. I see a different number of excursions available to book based on which browser I am using:

Chrome on a PC: 4

Android Tablet browser: 13

Internet Explorer on a PC: 30

This is very strange!!!

I work in the industry so some info for you....

Anything on a tablet would be using a different coding optimzed for that medium so you can't compare the Tablet to PC. (Usually called mobile optimized)

A browser doesn't determine anything - it's all in the coding, it reads and behaves only how it is told to. With that being said each browser does have it's own quirks and limitations based on the web design so it may be that it was coded by Carnival that way for a reason.
