I got GREAT offer. Why didn't my friend???

I got great offers on numerous cruises. Example: 7 day cruise charge 50.00 per person for two with a 100.00 credit for two and only thing I have to pay is port fees and taxes and gratuities. I have gotten this offer a few times and she has never gotten a casino offer like this. She gets casino offers but not this good.

My question is why my friend doesn't get casino offer when we spend the same amount of money on slot machines average 75 to 100 a day(no more and only slots)??????. She has been on Carnival about 4 more times than I have and she has never gotten this kind of offer. We are both GOLD members. Her charge is over 3 times mine. How do I get this and she doesnt??? Very happy I got this offer.

We like to cruise with this couple and everyone is wondering how I get better casino rate, stating I must be playing a lot more than her but I am not. We both walk in casino with same amount and leave rest money in room so we will not spend more than planned.

My husband gets these offers too but I don't. I don't know how they determine who gets them. I'm not complaining by no means cause we cruise twice a year and we only pay port fees and taxes!!

Apparently there's a reason to the madness which none of us here has been able to figure out. I recently asked one person who posted that he gets these free cruise offers frequently and he said that he sails 3-4 times a year, spends around 10K at the casino, always plays tables and bets $25-$100 at a time, and always sails in balcony staterooms at a minimum. Based on that, I know that I will NEVER get a free cruise offer!

Maybe your friend is not spending as much as you think she is? Or, with more Carnival cruises under her belt, maybe she's spent more with you but less when you're not with her, thus averaging less money spent per cruise? There has to be a trigger that she hasn't been able to hit with her cruising history that you obviously have.

Who knows? This differs from person to person. And even with the same person. A few years ago, I got some casino offers then nothing until recently. Then I got the great ones like you and lots of them. I pretty much spend a lot of time but probably not a lot of money in there, relatively speaking. I DO know that I only got enough points for drinks on us twice. And after both of those cruises is when the offers came. So I'm guessing that at least triggers them to look at you. Interesting aside, on the 2 I got the drinks on us, I spent less of my own money than usual because I was winning at slots. Otherwise I play tables almost exclusively and have little to no points on my card. So even though I go on the same cruise all the time and the workers in the casino know me by name, usually no offers.

Anyway, all my offers are gone again now. Back to scouring for deals.

Last year I was pretty upset with Carnival because I felt is was so unfair that I didn't get a free offer when some of my friends who cruised only one or two times got one. I had cruised about 12 times and they cruised once or twice. Well this year I got the offer (actually a Casino offer) and am getting an awesome deal on 2 back to back cruises in June. So I don't know how they decide who gets the offers.

I recently got the $50 a person with $100 on board credit offer. First I got a phone call from a pvp. A few days later I received a letter in the mail. It didn't say any where that it was associated with the casino. My theory is that since it is based on your vifp number, it could just be a random number generator that spits out numbers? Maybe some people are just luckier than others? Has anyone ever asked Carnival?

I've asked the Players Club and the only responses I've received were very crytic and not very informative.

They aren't going to give away the secret to getting a free cruise because that would be shared here and then suddenly, everyone would be spending just exactly what it takes and nothing more.

It would be silly for them to reveal their formula, wouldn't it?

I've received casino offers for just a slightly-discounted cabin fare. I finally - finally - received a Premier offer and took one last 11/29. I received another an am sailing 5/31.

None of these are even close to being free and I "only" get $300 casino cash (and I'm sailing solo, so still get to pay 200% for my cabin).

I don't get the bounce-back offers at the end of my cruise, no matter how much it seems I spend during the week.

It sure would be nice to get one of these super offers. I now have 4 cruises booked and have wondered if I don't get them because I always have at least one booked, so why should they give me any incentives? But others seem to get them even when they have more cruises booked.

It's mildly annoying/insulting. People complain about the silly PG party, but I'm much more upset that my devotion to the casino as my main form of entertainment doesn't get me better rewards!
