jenmouse Posted May 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2015 We have a group of nine people sailing on PoA this summer. We will be spending three nights at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach before the cruise. I have been looking into transfers from the airport to the hotel, and the hotel to the cruise port. Based on the age and travel experience of some of our party, I am trying to make sure that we stick together, and no one gets "overwhelmed". :) I was planning to book with Ilima Tours, but I saw some negative reviews and I am second-guessing that decision. Does anyone have any feedback on them, or another suggestion? Thanks!
bosnr Posted May 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2015 We will be sailing the POA for the 5th time this June and staying at the Hale Koa for 6 days before the cruise. Have always used Roberts Hawaii for our transfer from the airport to hotel. They are waiting for you as soon as you get off the plane, escort you to baggage claims, help you get your luggage then take you to your van. Have never used them for our transfer to the ship as I'm never sure when we will be ready to leave. Not in a hurry--I'm on vacation!!!
jenmouse Posted May 19, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 19, 2015 I was looking today and saw Roberts. I didn't see an option for hotel to cruise ship, but I may poke around their website, or e-mail them to see if they offer it. Usually we just take cabs wherever we are, but that would mean splitting the group, and I feel responsible for everyone, seeing as I planned/booked everything. Thank you! Rare mking8288 Posted May 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2015 (edited) Have you check with local folks hanging out on the Hawaii forum here on CC - Roberts Hawaii consistently get high marks and as I recall, they do offer hotel to pier transfers, call or email them (5 hour time zone behind East Coast) with the particulars. As for taxis, they are on call & can be dispatched to the hotel for a pre-arranged pickup, so you can book 2 vehicles & one followed the other - it's pretty easy to travel together, 1 following the other, from popular hotels over to the pier along the waterfront. Mahalo  P.S. You will get more personalized & focused help at the Hawaii forum, numerous insider's tips as I believed you will discover, if not already. bosnr Posted May 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 19, 2015 With a group of nine I would call Roberts, they have a toll fee number. Yes they offer airport to hotel and hotel to pier transfers. They do tours so I'm sure your group of nine will be know problem to them.
