Looking to sail on the Breakaway to Bermuda in September. Should I book now or wait and see if the rates come down and new amenities are offered? Also, has anyone gotten a good deal and from whom?

If a specific cabin is your priority you will want to book now, otherwise you can wait and see what the next promos/deals will be.

It's against forum rules to recommend travel agencies.

Going on the 27th and my category has been sold out for months; probably because of the previous promo offers! ;) Maybe I'll see ya on our roll call! :)

OP, are you close enough to port (NYC) to drive and have option to take time off on short notice, can book last minute & just take off for a week ? When in September as it's back to school time so it's less likely to be 100% sold out, as long as you are flexible and will take what's available - inside, oceanview, even with the GTY unknown cabin as they assigned, and willing to go for rock bottom prices.

-

The GEM is sailing out today to Canada for 6 nights, some are doing B2B - and it still has plenty of cabin availability 24 to 48 hours ago, prices plunged and I mean it really dropped a lot to more "practical" level - and the current promo are still valid & good, i.e. $399 p/p for Inside GTY, port fees & charges/taxes are high but still around $1,200 + DSC added & incidentials ... just to fill up those empty cabins (I counted like 10 staterooms in one category alone) plus balconies priced higher, of course.

In years past, we've found & gotten some pretty nice deals last minute in the eary Fall - Sept. & Oct. for bargains. Others wanted a specific deck & cabin locations, to each their own. Keep in mind that there are other vacation options with lower fuel prices, 6 of us opted this year to fly instead and have a great escorted land tour package for 11 nights & staying at hotels rated 4 to 5 stars. :D :p
