Anyone been to Durres (Tirana) with Azamara

Hubofhockey - are you on the Sept 9th, 2016 cruise? We are on that one and are also scratching our heads regarding that port. This was a good thread to come across with some good info. We're not really wanting history excursions, more local culture experiences. I was hoping there would be a good beach, but not looking like it.

Kellyb30, Durrës does have a very large beach with several hotels. When we were there it was low season but if you want to sun on a beach, have lunch, beer, or cocktails, Durrës has it. Not so sure about the quality of water for bathing/swimming though!

hubofhockey - If you are on the September 9th Azamara cruise, they have added some additional land discoveries in Durres. However, at this time there are no descriptions.
