Fun Ship Dollars

Has anyone purchased Fun Ship Dollars? Am sailing on the Liberty in

February with extended family. Would like to purchase Fun Ship dollars as

stocking stuffers. If I'm reading the fine print right, these need to be mailed

back in to Carnival before the cruise so that they can be credited to each

of the sail and sign cards. Is that correct? I thought maybe we could

bring the dollars on board with us and have them credit our account then.

Thanks for your help.

You are supposed to mail them in... although I was able to take them and get them applied at the pursers desk... some have not been able to. If you have time, mail them in... if not, take them with you and you should be fine. I think it's silly they make you mail them in anyway.

i purchased fun ship dollars for my last cruise. i got them for the kids to use for something they wanted. i found out they can not be used in the gift shop like money. i went to the purser's desk and they took the fun ship dollars and credited my sign and sail card. i have not heard anything about mailing them to carnival before the cruise.

I received fun ship dollars for Christmas and I gave a bunch as presents. We just applied them to our S&S. My BIL forgot all about his gift until the last day. He just took it to the purser's desk and had it applied to his S&S balance. I'm hoping Santa puts lots of Funship dollars in my stocking.

I ordered some Fun Ship $$ for my husband as a gift. You can just bring them on board and apply them to your account. Here's the e-mail I got from CCL confirming my order had been mailed. :

Your request has been processed. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery. If you have any questions regarding your gift certificate order, please contact Special Programs at 1-800-906-7603. If this is for onboard credit guest may take this onboard to the pursers office to redeem. Thanks again for choosing Carnival.

I hust had them apply the funship dollars to my account for when i board the ship. I get nothing in the mail just on my account already. You get a confirmation number when you call. I have not had a problem doing this just cant do it 2 weeks out from trip.

Another good thing about the funship dollars is if you don't use them all on the ship (although I've never had that problem  ), they will print you out a check for the remaining balance and slip it under your door on debarkation day.
