Josy1953 Posted June 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2015 We will be on our first Celebrity cruise next week, we have previously cruised with P&O and Princess. Do Celebrity provide shuttle services in Copenhagen and/or Stockholm ? If so does anyone know how much they charge ?
shoreham01 Posted June 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Last time we went on a Baltic cruise there was no shuttle provided at Stockholm. They said it was walkable, but it was quite a long way if you are unable to walk far. We ended up taking the HoHo bus, but I can't remember how much it was. You can look it up quite easily. Whatever you do, do not take a taxi in Stockholm. We were warned that they can take liberties with you and charge the earth. Copenhagen is difficult. Oceankaj dock is miles away from Copenhagen and you do need a shuttle or local bus. Public transportation from the dock was dire when we went there last time. Possibly they have improved it by now. If you are really lucky you will be docked at Langelinie Dock which is right near the Little Mermaid, but I think the bigger ships are now being sent to the new dock. Shuttle costs were around $15 per person but may be more now.
cle-guy Posted June 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2015 Find your Roll Call and pose the question there, you may even find people arranging private ride shares. I've done a few successful shares on my TA cruises via my roll calls.
rahrah50 Posted June 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 8, 2015 We have just returned from Silhouette Baltic Cruise. We did use taxis in Stockholm and had no issues at all. Just ask the price before you get in. Ship to the VASA museum was 200 Swedish Krona which is about $24.00 for four of us. Same price from Ice Bar to the ship. Celebrity did not have a shuttle. In Copenhagen we did take the shuttle but I can't remember how much it was. Maybe $15 round trip?????
Iamthesea Posted June 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 8, 2015 On last years Constellation Baltic's cruise, I am pretty sure that we took a tender or water taxi to get from the ship and around the islands in Stockholm. In Copenhagen, we walked to town and it was not too bad. However, after walking all day, we were tired and caught a bicycle taxi back to the area of the Little Mermaid and walked the rest of the way to Langelinie Dock. As I recall, there were some taxi's at the ship dock, but no shuttle.
Can'tstopcruising Posted June 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 8, 2015 We were on the Eclipse last summer. In Stockholm, we took the water taxi (bus, shuttle, hoho, whatever it is called) directly to the Vasa museum, where we spent the entire morning. It is a wonderful museum. In Copenhagen, we were unlucky to be docked out at the one which is in the middle of nowhere. We paid for our shuttle tickets the day before. There was such chaos, that we had to wait about 45 minutes for a bus. Everyone wanted their $$ back, but Celebrity did nothing. We met pax from the Constellation. They were lucky. They docked close to town and could even walk. It's fun to cruise in Europe, but only if you are docked in a convenient locale.

Do Celebrity provide shuttle services in Copenhagen and/or Stockholm ? If so does anyone know how much they charge ? Currently on Eclipse. We docked way out in the boonies in Copenhagen and the shuttle charge was $18. We used the local bus at the pier #25 bus. We took the Hop on Hop off boat in Stockholm. First one of the day goes directly to the Vasa and it is great to avoid the crowding that happens later in the day.
