Food: Alaskan Delicacies

One of the last few questions before I cruise ;)

 

Any specific delicacies at any Port (Skagway,Juneau, Ketchikan) + Anchorage + Vancouver or even in the Ship (Star Princess) that must be tried?

I greatly enjoy salmon and halibut. I've gotten so picky, with my Alaska preference, I don't eat is anywhere else. Taku Smokery, has some smoked salmon that we really like. If you have some time- they do have samples to perhaps give a try. Next door is Twisted Fish with nicely prepared food. - in Juneau.

I love reindeer sausage, particularly ones made by Alaska Sausage and Seafood.

I second BQ on Taku and Twisted Fish! We loved the smoked items from Taku -- they even had a salmon jerky when we were there.
