Drinks from other venues

Can I bring a drink from another place into MDR? For example if we grab a drink from the Atrium or even casino prior to dinner can we bring it to dinner?

 

Can we bring it to a show? Seems we may be in line a while and a drink might be nice while waiting.

 

In the outside world I wouldn't do this but on a Freestyle cruise I'm not sure of the protocol.

Absolutely! We always enter the MDR and/or theater or comedy shows with a drink or 2 already in hand.

Sometimes I buy a drink and just sit in one place to consume it. Other times I have a wander, drink in hand. I often purchase my drink before dinner and take it in with me if I am dining in the main dining room. Drink service in there is very patchy and can, at times, seem non-existant. The drink service in the specialities is generally good. Feel free to do what suits you.

The only place you typically can't take a drink you bought on the ship is off the ship!

Absolutely! We often got a drink at the bar outside of the MDR and when our table was ready just took it in with us..have fun!

Last year I had gotten a couple wine packages, so I had my bottle of wine and a glass with me in the evenings.

Sitting on balcony or the Waterfront bars was awesome with my wine :)

Went everywhere. No problem.

You can also take a glass of wine from the cork-fee-paid bottle you have in your room out to other areas of the ship.
