peekinglemer Posted June 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2015 We are sailing Carnival Pride this September and want to do Carnival Breeze next October 2016. If we wait and book the Breeze during our Sept. cruise, what benefits would we get. The Breeze cruise is 8 days. Carnival is currently running a $50.00 OBC for bookings on their website. If we book early saver for the Breeze while we are on the Pride in September and do get OBC....if we take advantage of a price drop could we lose our OBC? Thanks...... forwardcabin Posted June 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) Check to make sure Pride has a future cruise desk and a future cruise expert onboard when you sail in September. If so, you can wait until then to book your Breeze 2016 8-day cruise and choose the booking rate you want (Past Guest, ES, etc.). When you book ahead onboard your current cruise, you get $100 OBC per cabin for the future cruise and two friends & family vouchers to give to others, who if they book your same future cruise within 60 days after you booked, then they too get the same OBC. You (and the others) keep the OBC even if you get a price drop. You earned the OBC when you booked onboard--it's not promotional as it is with a sale. The agent with whom you booked your current cruise gets credit for the future cruise booking and you then contact them for any changes to the future cruise. It's an OK deal if you know at the time of your current sailing what ship, date, deck, cabin, etc. you want for the future cruise. We generally do our research ahead of the current cruise. You can also use the current cruise ship's computers to look for a future cruise for free while onboard. Hope you have a great cruise on Pride and are able to get the deal you want for a future cruise. Bon Voyage! peekinglemer Posted June 11, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted June 11, 2015 Thanks for the advice Forwardcabin. It never even occurred to be that Pride may not have a future cruise desk. I appreciate all the advice. :)
Taylor95 Posted June 11, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2015 I was thinking about booking a 2016 cruise when we are on the Glory this October - how do you find out if a ship has a future cruise desk?
forwardcabin Posted June 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2015 ... It never even occurred to be that Pride may not have a future cruise desk. ......There was a thread on here recently about whether or not Pride had a future cruise desk/loyalty expert:http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2218039&highlight=future+cruise Not sure how you would find out if a ship has one. You might try calling Carnival, but you could get a different answer each time you called! Seems like there was a list on some thread last year. These things could change from one sailing to the next. Good Luck.
