Reflection 2D cabin 6194

Has anyone had this cabin assigned. We have this cabin for a TA. Does anyone know how obstructed the view is, if there is a view at all? I know that the view is obstructed downwards, so cannot see the water below but how far up do the life boats come? If anyone has any pictures it would be greatly appreciated or any further information.

Hi - at 'images.google.com' search for 'Celebrity Reflection obstructed balcony' and you should get variety of pictures that give your answer. We are in 6294 obstructed over the blue restaurant roof extension. Have had it before with no view problem except straight down. Good Luck

Sorry it's not your cabin 6194, but I found a video from youtube labeled "Celebrity Reflection Obstructed View Balcony Stateroom" that might help you visualize it a little bit better:

The top of the larger lifeboats/tenders will come up to your balcony railing. So standing, you will be able to see straight out. I imagine that sitting will not give much of a view except sky

Thank you for your replies. I have checked out images.google and it looks like we will have a blocked view but as it is midship may be this may be better for crossing the Atlantic. We are still waiting for an assignment for our 7 day B2B in the Caribbean, so perhaps we will be assigned a better view for this cruise.

Once you are booked an assigned cabin in price category, if you see a better location - in same category - you can request shift. So study pictures closely to see if an available 2D has better position view-wise.

 

OR pay up (usually $20-50 per person ) for 2C obstructed and get a cabin above the restaurant roof extension WITH THE LARGER BALCONY (note chaise loungers space). We bookk these as inexpensive but oversize verandas with only view to water immediately below blocked. Last 8 cabins from rear, both sides. See pic.

Thanks Greydog, we have now been assigned 6297 for the 2nd leg of our cruise, but Celebrity wants us to pay £345 each to move from 2D to 2C not $25 - $50. Anyway tomorrow we will see if we can pay to move to 6293 as this cabin is available for both sailings.
