Are dinning reservations only for specialty dining or can you reserve times in the main dining rooms?

You can. However, unless you are a large group that need special seating, it kinda defeats the purpose of freestyle. Except during the very peak dining times, both MDRs seldom have a wait for a table for two (or four). And even during peak times, the most wait I've had was about 15 minutes. And then I got a discount coupon for a drink while I waited.
