flagger Posted September 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2005 I just received a phone call from the executive office to answer the letter I had sent to the president of Celebrity. Only took them three weeks.
katiel53 Posted September 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 16, 2005 Although it may take time, the email I have sent have gotten answered. It took about 2-3 weeks, but I didn't think that was too bad. I sent an email to NCL and got no answer. I sent a second one and the president of NCL sent me an email saying that it had been referred to someone. Took a lot longer. Katie

flagger Posted September 16, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted September 16, 2005 I had a customer service issue that was not being addressed and went to the top to get a definitive answer. I think that is sufficient information.
Ericknow32 Posted September 16, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2005 Oh, come on. That's not cool. I am glad you got the outcome you were looking for but you cannot come in here dropping little bits of information without filling us in on the whole story. leerobbs Posted September 17, 2005 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2005 Gee...I wonder how long it would take Bill Gates office to answer you on a customer service issue??? Probably a lot less than 2-3 weeks.

flagger Posted September 17, 2005 Author #8 Share Posted September 17, 2005 The purpose of this thread was to inform members that letters to get answered and an expectation of the time to answer a written letter. I do not feel it is important to divulge the contents of or reason for communication between myself and the president of Celebrity. What is more important is the fact that an answer did come and was made via a phone call.
Ericknow32 Posted September 17, 2005 #9 Share Posted September 17, 2005 Well, if we knew what the letter was about we would know how important this contact from the President is. It would also show us how pertinent this thread is.

hdawson Posted September 17, 2005 #13 Share Posted September 17, 2005 Since tipping seems very important to Mr Flagger or the reason for tipping or not tipping, expressed many times on these boards, I suspect it had something to do with that since recently there was a long thread with people trying to explain to Mr Flagger the procedure, which he continued to doubt the validity of their explanations. cruising with marti Posted September 17, 2005 #14 Share Posted September 17, 2005 I am sure that the president of Celebrity Cruise Lines was overjoyed to recieve a cutomer service complaint from a passenger who refuses to tip any of Celebritys crew.;) Phil

SheilaNC Posted September 17, 2005 #17 Share Posted September 17, 2005 As a second example, I wasn't satisfied with the discount policy for Captain's Club members (not Elite) on the Xpedition. I sent a personal letter to the Vice President responsible for customer affairs and got a personal phone call from the Director, Captain's Club with excellent communication skills and a negotiated resolution that suited me. In addition, she told me that if there were future problems, I could call her direct. Needless to say, when we had a magnificent experience in the Galapagos, I wrote and told them about it. flagger Posted September 19, 2005 Author #18 Share Posted September 19, 2005 It was a question not a complaint and yes I expect the president read it. Who knows though, I know the former president read his letters.
