Captain's Club Check-in

A question for all the experienced Celebrity cruisers out there.

We'll be on the Mercury this November out of San Diego, and for some reason, it is not scheduled to depart the port until 8:00pm. Now, we've sailed before, but we've always left the dock by 4 or 5pm. In the past, we've checked-in as early as 11am.

What time should we get to the port for the Mercury? Since we're not scheduled to depart until 8pm, what is a reasonable check-in time? Thanks for the help.

eventho there are folks who show up at 7:30PM.............

Now we have been on cruises that weather East or Hurricanes South made for airline headaches, so they may not move til 11PM to get all the late folks on. I applaud them for doing so........

Now when we got aboard our ship in Venice at 10AM and it wasn't leaving til 10PM, we dropped off our carryons, got lunch, I made spa model with them phoning me later with days & times. Then we were off for a day in Venice & back on the ship for dinner. We were asleep for sailaway after all the fun being in awe at St Mark's Square on the water taxis seeing the canal, Tialto Bridge & all the wonderul castles that are no businesses.

So enjoy yourself!

We took this same cruise two years ago. We dropped our luggage at the terminal around noon and proceded to drop our car at a friends home. People were already boarding at that time. We arrived back at the terminal about 1:30 and there were no lines at check-in.
