got2bachef Posted June 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2015 We are sailing on the Carnival Miracle 13 day cruise Jan 31 2016. We have sailed the Mexican Riviera a few times and usually, well always do our own exploring, either hiring a taxi to take us around, or hop on public transportation. In Cabo and Acapulco we have hired water taxi type boats to take us around to explore. We are so over the"Tequila factory" and "Predator"....and wanted to explore from the water without being restricted by scheduled tours. I have never noticed any water taxis near the cruise terminal. Do they sail out of a different location?? any help with this would be appreciated!! Also has anyone eaten at De Santos Restaurant??
rudechuck Posted June 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) I've taken the water taxi from Los Muertos Beach to Yelapa. I don't believe it stopped anywhere else though. It did go out to Los Arcos. I believe there are water taxis that pick up in Boca de Tomatlan which also go to Yelapa, and a few other stops. http://vallartainfo.com/puerto-vallarta-transport.html#watertaxi Edited June 19, 2015 by rudechuck

Ine Posted June 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Watercabs leave from the pier at Playa Los Muertos and also from Boca de Tomatlan, which is far more south. Often also you find them in Mismaloya.
