Input on transportation from FLL to Port of Miami

I have quotes from both SAS Transportation as well as GOMJSTRANS for our upcoming trip where we require transport from FLL to POM and return at the end of cruise. Both have quoted the exact same price so I am wondering if I can get any insight/reviews/suggestions on either company from the cruise critics that have used either of these services. Were they courteous and did they arrive quickly after contacting them that you had your luggage? Did you head out to the port immediately or do they make you wait a long time to fill up the van with several other passengers? Any help would be appreciated as I would like to advise the one we are not using that we no longer require seats in their vehicle on the days involved.

Both are suggested here almost every day. We've used SAS in the past and were happy. Are they both offering to pick you up at your pre-cruise hotel? :confused:

Both are picking up at FLL airport the morning of the cruise and taking to POM for our cruise on Majesty.

SAS is probably the larger of the two operations and might be able to load your group and have you on your way sooner. Both have good reputations and should have you at POM quickly - assuming that your flight is on time :eek: - good luck!

I have used SAS every time I cruise out of Miami and fly into and out of Ft Lauderdale. They have always been on time for us. They usually pull a luggage trailer to avoid putting the luggage into the van. Drivers are courteous and very accomodating.

 

They may have stops at some hotels in Ft Lauderdale, but that has never been a problem for us.

 

If the stops would be a problem for you, I suggest paying more and book a private van.

we rented a car from FLL, staying in the Best Western off 95, 2 couples traveling together. the car rental down for a suv is 77$ including all taxes,drop offat budget near the port. Same as return, 81$ from MIA to FLL, our flight arrives early friday afternoon, gives us time to explore Fort Lauderdale.

We used SAS in April for a ride to/from Miami. Our trip to Miami was on a very hot day and the Air Conditioning in the van was not working properly. There were 14 passengers with some luggage in the passenger compartment. It was a very WARM and crowded ride. Our return trip was much better. I was disappointed- we will seek a different company in 2017.

Just finished unpacking on our Majesty cruise! We ended up using SAS and our driver, Larry, was great. He even stopped enroute to Miami so we could all buy some wine! Would regionally recommend them!

Was everyone on the shuttle part of your party or did everyone have to agree to stop to purchase wine? I am debating on shuttle or renting a car. I would like to stop and purchase soda and wine.
