SRcruise Posted June 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Will carnival allow my 16 and 17 year olds in the adult comedy show if I am with them?
Hoosierpop Posted June 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2015 How old do they look? I've never had my kids carded before when they were that age, but I suppose if they look young, it might be an issue.
evandbob Posted June 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2015 There are several announcements prior to the adult shows starting, saying that anyone younger than 18 should get the F out.
love my grandkids Posted June 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2015 We were embarrased seeing this with our 30 something kids, dont think it is appropriate for younger than
stargate fan Posted June 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Will carnival allow my 16 and 17 year olds in the adult comedy show if I am with them? The adult comedy shows are rated 18+. The Punchliner host announces this many times and the taped announcement by George Lopez also states this. Therefore, your under 18 children should not go, with or without you. Besides the age rating, the venue fills up, so your under 18 children should not be occupying seats for those who are over 18. Take them to the Family Shows. They're often funnier than the adult shows anyway.
jerseycandyman Posted June 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2015 Unfortunately if the manager is doing there job your kids would not be allowed in. I know as a parent you should be allowed to decide but that's the rules

Many times they use adult language and not really funny more shock value which gets boring after a while
vacruisin Posted June 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted June 20, 2015 I've seen kids allowed on some ships and on other ships there has been a strict enforcement of the 18 and older rule. It will depend on how your particular sailing handles it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
2boys2girls Posted June 20, 2015 #9 Share Posted June 20, 2015 We just got off the Breeze on the 14th and I went to the adult comedy shows a couple of times with my 18 and almost 20 year old daughters. They are rated 18 and over for very good reason. The language and the content can be over the top even for the adults. They made an announcement that if you were easily offended, this was not the show for you. One couple brought their young son who couldn't have been more than 11 or 12, and I don't even want to say what happened, but I felt really bad for the kid! vwrestler171 Posted June 20, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 20, 2015 Why do you feel that you and your kids are above the rules? The rules say 18 and older for the adults show so if your kids aren't 18, I would hope that they aren't allowed in there.
kids1stcruise Posted June 20, 2015 #12 Share Posted June 20, 2015 I think it depends on the person....some adults shouldn't be in there!
PekingeseLady Posted June 20, 2015 #13 Share Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) It can really get RAUNCHY, I know I would get embarrassed if my adult children were sitting with us, LOL  But I wouldn't miss a show. Love the Comedy Shows. Cheers! Edited June 20, 2015 by PekingeseLady

OCruisers Posted June 20, 2015 #17 Share Posted June 20, 2015 It really totally depends on the ship. Sometimes, yes. Other times, no. LuLu
anewmac Posted June 21, 2015 #18 Share Posted June 21, 2015 They patrolled on the Breeze in March telling kids they couldn't come in or telling them to leave. I wouldn't want mine in there. Not appropriate, at times I even blushed lol
Human Speedbump Posted June 21, 2015 #19 Share Posted June 21, 2015 We were an the Magic Memorial Day week and my son turned 17 on the cruise. I let him sit in with me on the shows, he hears worse on the school bus frankly. My son is 6' tall and has facial hair so the staff probably thought he was 18 anyway. WetToes Posted June 21, 2015 #20 Share Posted June 21, 2015 I don't get why people are in such a rush to have there kids grow up. I know, I know. They hear all the language on the street, at school, some even at home. I wouldn't want to sit next to your KID at one of these shows. :o :( Their time will come. JuanBillion Posted June 21, 2015 #21 Share Posted June 21, 2015 In my experiences, it really depends on the ship. Some have employees checking at the door, some do not. On the Pride a few years ago, one family thought it would be fine for their 13 and 12 year old boys to be with them at the adult show. Not surprisingly, the comedian immediately went dirty and made the parents the main part of his show.
LuckyZ Posted June 21, 2015 #22 Share Posted June 21, 2015 I don't think you would want them in there,it gets pretty raunchy. Is it just me or are a lot of the comedians on Carnival just not that funny anymore. They seem to over rely on the use of the F word and really not have very good material. You may see one good one out of every five, but that's being kind. If any under 18 year olds want my seat, they can have it.

MszKitty Posted June 22, 2015 #25 Share Posted June 22, 2015 Very true about the family shows. Many times they use adult language and not really funny more shock value which gets boring after a while Its not just adult "language", because I'm sure they've heard it all before. But there is a lot of adult "subjects" (i.e. sexual). I would feel uncomfortable having someone that young sitting near me, let alone my own kids. I've had my late 20-something daughters sitting near me and I felt uncomfortable laughing at some of the subjects. And I'm sure they did too. Its not a place for underage kids to be with or without their parents.
