Thank you so much for your help! I am a nervous nelly by nature and I can't believe I actually CHANGED something on purpose! We preferred the smaller ships on RCCL so missing the rock wall isn't going to be a problem.

That's so funny! My brother-in-law and his family live in Woodlake in the Brandermill area!

Safe travels all,

Sam :D

Actually live in rhe Deer Run subdivision.

My husband and I have over 60 cruises (we've actually lost count) with about 90% of those on either Royal or Celebrity. In January we went on a 5 day Caribbean Princess cruise and were pleasantly surprised. Yes, we did do some of the "they don't do that on Royal" but not in a bad way, just different. We did enjoy the movies under the stars, found the food in the MDR to be good, service was also good. I do remember we weren't crazy about the way the buffet area is set up but that's about the only thing I can remember that we didn't are for.

Since we enjoyed that cruise, we booked a 19 day TA on the Island Princess in November. I think we can really then compare the cruise lines and decide whether we'll become Princess converts.

I've blogged about nearly 300 days on the Emerald Princess in my blog (address is in my signature). Yes, the Brilliance is brilliant but the Emerald Princess is wonderful, too. We like it so much that may be on the cruise with you.:)

How nice! It would be great to say Hello again. I'm booked on it too.

In my time cruising, I have found a segment of cruisers, small segment, that just likes to complain. Whether they are on the ship, or here, they aren't happy if they aren't complaining. So, consider that when you read negative reviews. Also, when people use lots of superlatives, I immediately start to question the veracity, or at the very least, the perspective applied to their review.

Cruising is wonderful and Princess is a great line. Everyone finds their own adventure and their own niche on board. I know it is a big investment of time, money and energy, so being concerned is natural. However, don't let those with bitter tongues cost you sleep or unquiet your mind.

Finally, if something does go wrong, bring it to the staff's attention, ask for help and be a nice person. If what goes wrong is beyond the control of anyone (weather, act of God or other) roll with the punches, adapt, enjoy the time around your family and make sure you have a great story to tell. Wherever you go, whatever you do, always have a great story to tell, you are the author.
