FYI Denali bus booking date for 2016

Just heard from the Denali reservation folks:

"We will be accepting reservations for the 2016 season on December 1st 2015".

True--but the system is not currently accepting reservations for 2016 dates although they show as being available. You get a reply that says there are no openings but what it really means is they they are not accepting reservations for those dates until December 1, 2015.

True I just mean that the date is not just for phone bookings. We did not realize it opened that early but we were still able to book an early shuttles Wonder lake on the day we wanted just a couple months out. So book early if you can but don't panic if you can't or don't know yet when December comes.

There also is no urgency to book on the dot- as sometimes- I see a lot of people making adjustments and change their minds. :)

 

I've just waited some times, and call 2 days prior- getting any bus I want due to the 30% hold back seats released. So, for some, no concern if you don't jump into reservations. :)

 

In the past, there also have been the buy 2 get 3 bargain. Another great winner, if it continues. :)
