Legend of the Seas D2/D3 cabins - HELP!

We are booked in a E1 Balcony cabin on Legend of the Seas for our cruise in February next year; however are looking into the possibility of upgrading to D2/D3. Both cabin categories are the same price.

 

The following cabins are available:

 

D3 - 7006, 7002, 7500 or 7000.

 

D2 - 7562, 7560, 7564, 7566 , 7568, 7068, 7054, 7570, 7070, 7072, 7050, 7548, 7048, 7546, 7078, 7044, 7542, 7042, 7606, 7600, 7598, 7596, 7594, 7588 and 7536.

 

Are 7000 and 7500 AFT cabins recommended?

Oops so the AFT cabins are D1 cabin category cabins, not D2/D3 as I originally thought?

 

I would still like to hear anyone's feedback regarding the D2/D3 cabins as below:

D3 - 7006, 7002, 7500 or 7000.

 

D2 - 7562, 7560, 7564, 7566 , 7568, 7068, 7054, 7570, 7070, 7072, 7050, 7548, 7048, 7546, 7078, 7044, 7542, 7042, 7606, 7600, 7598, 7596, 7594, 7588 and 7536.

 

I shall do some cabin research! :D

I didn't care for the deck 7 cabins after the addition of the balconies on 6. The new balcony roofs are like having lifeboat covers at your feet so you can't look down to the water. The D's do have the fridges though that the E's don't.

If there is not much price difference between the D1 and the D2 then I would go with the aft. Regardless though, the D's are definitely better cabins than the E's because of the fridge and room layout.

Thanks for the response - sounds like a deck 6 cabin is the best way to go!

 

I will see what the D1 category pricing is like and whatD1 cabins are available.

It'd be an extra $100pp or thereabouts.

 

From what I can see, the only D1 cabins available are on deck 7.

Does anyone have pics of cabin 7000 or 7500? They are the forward facing cabins and I want to see what the rooms look like, whether there's any obstruction etc.
