B-Day Coupon: just ignore the date clause

Recommended Posts

just ignore the clause which stated you had to "book" within a certain date range

just print it out,

fill it out,

and FAX IT to the number listed in the fine print on the bottom.

call captains club in a week or so, and you will find that your credit was applied.

don't believe me? ...then try it (as I did smile.gif ).

But how do you get one in the first place? I called and they also told me "random", but marketing Depts. almost never do truly random things...they try to target "something" to see what the response is. All this marketing dept. is doing in P'ing people off who do NOT get them...if anyone from Celebrity reads these boards they have to know that for every person they are making happy they are making several more unhappy...what kind of good business is that?

I'm attempting to book a cruise and told the travel agent about the birthday certificate I've had for a month or so (received mine in the snail mail not email). She called Celebrity and was told "i didn't know we had birthday certificates." I thought that was a riot. Celebrity wants to see it to see if it's real.

Since Celebrity doubts the validity of its own certificate, I will pay the full price and if they determine it is real, will credit $50 back to my credit card.

I'm new to Celebrity so I hope this doesn't sound like a silly question. But what is the Birthday Coupon? We are set to go on the Mercury on Oct 8th which is just over a week before my birthday. Would it be something I should inquire about with Celebrity?

I would love to know as well. My birthday is next week and we sail in December. Besides, our anniversary is onboard and I'd love to treat my husband with something special!
