anonmom Posted June 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2015 I have heard that some of the Fun Factory spaces are windowless interior spaces and others have indoor/outdoor play spaces, jungle gyms and wading pools. I can't seem to find which ships have what. Thanks!
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted June 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2015 The M class ships used to have outdoor play areas. Those all went away when the ships were Solsticesized (however you spell it).
anonmom Posted July 1, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted July 1, 2015 Oh no! So all of the celebrity ships have gone through this renovation?
Tall Jersey Girl Posted July 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2015 The summit is indoors but there are windows. It is forward port side of the ship of deck 11. My daughter still talks about seeing a dolphin while she was looking out a window in the fun factory.
floridianny Posted July 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2015 None of the Fun Factory spaces on Soltice ships are dark or windowless. They're at the forward area of the ship and very nice. They use the outdoor sports court at certain times of day for organized games such as GaGa ball, Dodgeball etc.
Queen of Oakville Posted July 2, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 2, 2015 My mind's eye is failing me and I can't recall if there were windows or not - but the area was very bright. But I just did a google image search for celebrity fun factory and can see some pictures showing windows. - don't know how current those pictures are though. the kids certainly walk around the ship (As a group) and have some outdoor time too. You can tell by the schedule what events will be indoor/outdoor before you drop them of.

And isn't dodgeball considered an inappropriate game in this PC world? :)
floridianny Posted July 2, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 2, 2015 LOL. According to my 11 year old son, Gagaball is a more "PC" version of Dodgeball where the ball is kept below the knees and on the ground..whatever that means:D But, yes they do play both on the sports court. They always seem to have some outdoor activities every day.
philpcruiser Posted July 2, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 2, 2015 Thanks. I thought it had something to do with Lady Gaga
CanadianDee Posted July 2, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Wait, what? Dodgeball isn't politically correct? I would hate to commit a sports faux pas. Why isn't it politically correct? Edited July 2, 2015 by CanadianDee

philpcruiser Posted July 2, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 2, 2015 Just saying, down here, it appears to be inappropriate or frowned upon, to throw something at someone. You could be looking at a lawsuit. Do you see the joke here yet?

KrystaGali Posted July 3, 2015 #14 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Coming straight from my kids: Gaga is Dodgeball but the rules are slightly different. The ball has to bounce off the floor or wall before it can hit someone. In Gaga, you cannot peg someone with the ball like you can in dodgeball? Also, the ball his to hit between the waist and feet in Gaga. If it hits the person above the waist, they are not out.
