checked in on line - problems- help please

Hi this is our first RCI cruise I have just checked in on line and I have 2 questions.

 

1. It says no luggage tags as sailing is under 10 days away - but our sailing is in fact 2 weeks away. How much of a problem will having no tags be?

 

2. Says Cruise Documentation not issued - will be emailed - what is this documentation - we have checked in online and have printed the passes. When should we expect to get it? Do we need it?

Just show the bottom of your set sail pass to the luggage handlers and they will write luggage tags for you - not a problem.

 

Unless you are waiting for flight confirmation with Choice Air the cruise documentation really has no information that you need. It tells you many wonderful opportunities to order things like Royal Caribbean string backpacks and water bottles. It will tell you the itinerary etc. which you probably already know.

You don't really need luggage tags in advance, you can have the porters make up tags at the pier. However, if you do want tags in advance, you should be able to download (or print) the tags. There should be a Print button on the same page you did online check-in.

 

While you may want to read the cruise documents, they are not usually required to be printed. Exceptions might be if you have cruise line transfers (vouchers in the docs) or Choice Air (airline itinerary in the docs).
