Putterdude Posted July 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2015 Yes the Alaskan Brewery is in Juneau, I think most people who have been to Alaska know that....I went one time on the bus but see they now offer a shuttle for $7.50 each way. I didn't think it was any big deal, I kind of enjoy their store on S. Franklin Street if I am picking up something for one of my sons.
hawk/hornfan Posted July 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2015 I did not go to the brewery while in Juneau 4 years ago, but Alaskan Amber is my favorite beer. I live in Iowa and have to drive to Wisconsin, an hour away, to buy it. MMMMMMM!
cattman Posted July 10, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) We took the tour one rainy day in Juneau and really enjoyed it. Their shuttle van departs from the ABC store on Franklin(very easy to find, right on the main drag about three or four blocks from the port) and was well worth the $7.50pp... we drank at least three times that in free samples post tour! I too love their beer and this was a great opportunity to try all their different varieties in one place. The guides were hilarious and very informative. Met many nice people. BTW, we found many reasonably priced souvenirs at their store... check the closeouts. Would do it again should the weather preempt our outdoor plans during our Juneau stop this September.
