How long after booking do they apply Future Cruise Certificates?

Booked about 6 weeks ago with a well known UK cruise company - 2 week December cruise to the Caribbean. Sent them my 2 certificates (worth around £600/$900)

They tell me they have passed them onto Celebrity. They also tell me that:

"We have to wait for Celebrity to apply the vouchers to your booking before we can reduce your remaining balance.

As Celebrity work through the voucher in departure date order then we are unable to say when your vouchers are applied as we are unaware of which departure date they are working on."

Is this correct? If so any idea of how long this will take?

Thanks :)

I am surprised that this the process they are using. When we had Future Cruise Certificates, they entitled you to a reduced deposit and OBC. Our TA handled this with the deposit applied immediately and OBC showing a few weeks later when we received our Celebrity invoices.

I would not worry too much, just keep an eye on things and let your TA monitor it. If it has not happened close to final payment, then it would be time to wade in.
