fireguy091 Posted September 19, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted September 19, 2005 What were your two fav. places to get adult beverages? How late does the night life continue. Are there alot of pool games on sea days.
spbflseas Posted September 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2005 Boleros is pretty hot, especially if you like latin beats. If you want to do some quiet people wathcing, try Vintages Wine Bar along the promenade.
marcmedic Posted September 19, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2005 The pub in the royal promenade is great also. A few nights they had a live band in it. There does seem to be a decent amount of activities at the pool on sea days.
Catseyes Posted September 19, 2005 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2005 We liked the Schooner bar which is outside the Casino. The Pub and Boleros is pretty lively with latin music for dancing and a band. There seemed to be a lot of activities going on around the pool on sea days. The Spa pool is quieter but seats get taken very quick. They are more comfortable then the other pool seats. A lot of the bars were open late at night and the Dungeon disco was cool, great interior and good music.
Max Circus Posted September 19, 2005 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2005 We spent alot of time at the Schooner Bar. Really enjoyed the bartenders Roger and Hugh. Very personable and had fun bar tricks. Also a nice little directory of off-beat shots of which we tried several. :D No idea if they are still there or have moved on. Also liked the champagne bar (I forget the name). Splurged there one night for some nice champagne and Foix Gras (sp?) since we had never tried it. tivvy Posted September 19, 2005 #9 Share Posted September 19, 2005 Fireguy, NOS is a great ship, I am sailing her a second time because we loved her so much..... Two Poets Pub is a great place and so is the Dungeon. Carribbean Band on the Pool deck was good and we had a great CD on my last journey. Take Care
Twaincruisers Posted September 19, 2005 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2005 We cruised NOS twice in '04 and had a great time. Boleros is the place for mojitos and hot Latin music and dancing. Two Poets is a great pub and you can sit on the Promenade to watch the people. You can also do people watching on the Promenade at Vintages--be sure to try some of the various wine flights. Schooner bar with its nautical theme is interesting to spend time. We're not dancers, but it was fun to stand on the top floor to watch the dancers in the Dungeon. This is one of our favorite ships--make sure you see the ice show--or even go skating.
bobert Posted September 19, 2005 #11 Share Posted September 19, 2005 I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Cosmopolitan Club up on the fourteenth deck it has the best view on the ship and is a great late night spot for a quite drink and usually some music. Although if you are really talking LATE then you will be in the Dungeon. Personally I enjoy the cigar bar after dinner.
