Upgrade questions on Getaway

We were offered an upgrade to two mini suites on deck 10 or 11. We are currently in two family ocean views for our family of five. Is it a good offer? The family ocean views look huge!

Also, my husband is paranoid about our kids falling overboard. Our youngest are 11!! Are the balconies easy to lock?

As far as the upgrade that is a good offer decks 10 and 11 won't have you over or under anything particularly loud except for splash academy which is in the center of deck 12. A mini suite has much more room and the balcony is an awesome feature depending on who you ask!

 

As far as kids falling overboard 11 should be old enough to practice safety. It is pretty hard to fall off a cruise ship unless you are inebriated. AFAIK balconies are not lockable.

There is a safety lock higher on the door but it is not 11-year-old-safe, it only keeps toddlers from opening the door.
