Rare CTCruisers Posted July 11, 2015 #29 Share Posted July 11, 2015 Here is the Spa Pass information. We decided to get the couples pass for $349. I think that the price had gone up, because I had thought that the couples pass was cheaper than that. We’ll let you know at the end of the cruise if it was worth it or not. We have booked an inside spa cabin for a September sailing on the Splendor. The difference between the spa cabin and non-spa cabin was about $150 for us. Looking forward to using the facilities. Rare Jamman54 Posted July 11, 2015 Author #41 Share Posted July 11, 2015 The meet and greet broke up around 3:30pm, so we headed back to the cabin to wait for the start of the muster drill. When we arrived we found that the two 12 packs of water that we had ordered for $2.99 a piece, had arrived….. The muster drill began, as scheduled, at 3:45pm. Our muster station was “G”, which was on Deck 4, starboard side, aft. The drill took about 20 minutes or so, but we noticed that near the end of the drill, the captain had started to push the ship away from the pier, and back out into the Hudson River. Once the drill was over, and we were dismissed from the muster station, we went straight up to the Liner Pool area for the sail away. We have backed out into the Hudson River, and we are now turned down river towards the open sea. Our cruise has officially begun!!! Though we have sailed from New York City many times, the views never get old. This is by far, my favorite port to sail from. So sit back, relax, make yourself your own DOD, and join us as we take you down the Hudson River, the New York Harbor, under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, and out to sea, enjoying all the sights along the way. Enjoy!! Here’s another look up the Hudson River towards the George Washington Bridge….. A Circle Line tour boat passes us on the port side….. The tour boat is packed with tourists!!! This is Pier 90, which we just sailed from….. To be continued…..
