Jay Sam Posted July 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Have heard there is a shore excursion offered on St. Maarten that includes a stop at Maho beach. Does Carnival offer this type of excursion? Thanks in advance.
Rare trippingpara Posted July 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Have heard there is a shore excursion offered on St. Maarten that includes a stop at Maho beach. Does Carnival offer this type of excursion? Thanks in advance. The only one we saw from Carnival was their Top 10 Best tour which only includes a brief stop at Maho. We just used Bernard's on our stop in May. We spent a hour plus at Maho.
cruisergal 1 Posted July 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 12, 2015 We also used Bernards Tours in Feb, and I highly recommend the beach tour. We visited 2 beaches, toured and shopped, and went to Maho to see the planes. Very much worth the $45/person, for just over 4 hours.
True Texan Posted July 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Bernard's is a great way to see the island. Very professional.
dolphin2012 Posted July 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 12, 2015 We did the Ultra Hi speed boat tour thru Carnival which did take us to see the planes and to a smaller beach and snorkeling. The boat ride was very fast and rough but it was fun. He went very close to Maho beach and the planes went right over our heads. He also waited for one to take off from the runway so we could see the people who were hanging onto the fence. We were very close as we felt the sand on our face when it took off. The snorkeling sites were nice and well as the beach he stopped to let us swim. THere were plenty of free drinks and the boat has a glass bottom also. We enjoyed it alot and the tour was longer than quoted.
KrusII Posted July 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Check out Bernard's Tours. Air Conditioned Vans with Water and Soft Drinks. We loved them and have used them twice. Be sure to hold onto the fence at the airport when the planes come in.............Awesome!!!
LilMissScareAll Posted July 12, 2015 #7 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Another vote for Bernard's tour. It was a couple years ago that we did it but it really was a great tour. We got to see and spend a bit of time at quite a few 'hot spots': Orient beach, Maho beach, Margot (try Sarafina's! yumm!) and dropped back off in Philipsburg with enough time to go check out the Star Wars museum (!!!!!!) before heading back to the ship
ATHENA3 Posted July 12, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 12, 2015 Maho is a MUST for seeing the planes. If you want to spend more time there take a taxi they run all the time from and to ship port.

Piper934 Posted July 12, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 12, 2015 We did a taxi, easy and safe. Little restaurant for convenience and also lists times big planes come in. Taxi back right there as well. 1 of the best values we have ever had at a port fun/price.
summersigh Posted July 12, 2015 #11 Share Posted July 12, 2015 We did a tour with Bernards that only "sight-seed" :D on the way to Moho Beach and back which is what we wanted. It gave us 3 hours at Moho where we spent most of our time at the Sunset Bar & Grill. It's not on the website now but an email responding to mine regarding the tour we'd taken before said it would be back on in the fall so we'll be watching to rebook it for out winter cruise stop in St Maarten. gtaylor Posted July 12, 2015 #13 Share Posted July 12, 2015 summersigh was referring to an additional tour that was on Bernard's website back in 2013. It was specifically transport between the Cruise Facility and Maho Beach for $25. (click) gary
