lovevacadays Posted July 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2015 I would be interested in hearing about any private operators you may have sailed with while in St. Thomas. We really don't want to do a ship's excursion with 30 or 40 of our "closest" cruise friends. Instead, we would like to find an independent operator and either share a charter if it accommodates more that my family and friends or find a smaller vessel and charter it ourselves. bahama daydreamer Posted July 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2015 How many people are in your group? I have been on one that accomodates 6 people.
blue_water Posted July 13, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2015 Many have a max limit of 6 guests, you will find a list at vinow dot com under day charters, and helpful reviews on TA. 2 great choices are Yacht Nightwind and High Pockets.

blue_water Posted July 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2015 We enjoyed a day on New Horizons out of Sapphire Marina while staying at Sapphire. It is a larger sloop that can accommodate several people but often the group is small. See more details in the Catamaran Recommendations thread, post #18 if interested.
