Assigned boarding times

I'm wondering how this is working out? I'm sailing in October and am interested in hearing from previous sailings on how the wait at terminal went.

We left out of Seattle. From drop off at the curb to boat it took us an hour BUT 30 minutes of that was waiting in the holding area to board. Dock wasn't that crowded and the staff inside was excellent.

 

The staff outside was turning people away if it wasn't there time slot. We were there at 1040 for an 11-1130 slot and were fine.
