Any Travelers Check Cashing Limit?

We need $1000 cash for a group excursion, and would prefer not walking on board with that amount. NCL's website states that passengers can cash travelers checks at guest services. Is it fair to assume we won't have any issue cashing that amount?

 

Any better options for getting cash?

Cashing won't be an issue on the ship, that's not much for some in a casino.

 

I'd be concerned with showing up to a stranger who knows I'm carrying $1,000 cash.

I have had problems on one cruise where they would only cash $100 as they didn't have enough cash at reception in the morning.

I would cash them at the casino if you can.They may ask what you are playing slots or tables just say one or the other.
