cjankowski Posted July 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2015 Hi We are looking at doing the Pride in Nov and I was looking at maybe trying to due the Super Saver on a Balcony room. I have never done this so I was looking for help or advice: 1) What to expect? 2) Can you change room if you don't like the location you get? 3) If I pick balcony, do I have a chance for upgrade? 4) Anything to help me make my mind up? I am just so worried about trying this and/or just wondering if I should just pick my room. Thanks for any help or advice on this.
Xmansmom Posted July 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2015 1. Carnival will pick your room 2. No you can not change it 3. You can always call and pay for an upgrade provided that there is an upgrade available 4. I would not pick this unless you are certain that you will be happy with whatever room they pick for you. If you are picky about where you want to stay this is not for you. Also, this rate gives you no price protection. So you may be stuck if it is after the final payment due date and there is a price drop.
dallas52 Posted July 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2015 You get a cheaper price but you don't get the best room, usually one near the front of ship, not bad.
Rare Saint Greg Posted July 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2015 (edited) I booked super saver and got a deck 6 aft room (U219) on elation. I did it because it was an ocean view room for only $60 total more than interior...same price as an interior I picked. I haven't cruised enough to be picky about rooms. cjankowski Posted July 21, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted July 21, 2015 Thanks for the replies. I did change my booking last night to a super saver room. I just hope it turns out okay. My husband said, well we usually do an inside room, so any room with a balcony / window has to be better - right?? Being we got a balcony for less than an inside, we will try it and go with the flow :)
