What are legs of a HAL beds actually like - to know what kind of risers to bring along? Circumference of the leg, wheels or solid footed bottoms? Or are the standard ones offered on Amazon just fine as is. Thanks.

Hmmmm can't remember exactly what the legs looked like - the

room steward installed the risers for me - they must have fit as they

were there for the whole world cruise! and we did hit some rough

water. My risers are standard and they fit just fine.

Have you considered "Big Texas Hair?" It not only eliminates the need for the turning, but it also helps to protect against falling objects. The Houston version is impact rated up to a Category 2 hurricane.

Brian, you are too much!!!

I'm late to this discussion, but there are also inflatable bed wedges (search Amazon)........ but you need to take a pump, because doing them yourself (blowing them up with lung power).... is quite exhausting. And then, they are a pain to deflate. Sheesh!

But my foam wedge is enormous when considered for travel.....

DH & I have adjustable beds at home & I keep the head of mine raised about 3 inches above DH's & still use two pillows.. Our beds at home are side by side but DH likes his to be flat.. So I use extra pillows on the ship.. Also put a pillow under my knees, as have a tendency to get leg cramps when I forget to drink Tonic with quinine during the day..:)
