Promenade cabins onboard the island princess...

In the days before they had those cabins, the promenade was fully covered. It did narrow considerably in the stern area. If you look at the deck plans, you'll see the promenade cabins and if you go up one deck you'll see the emerald deck cabins that in above them.

 

It looks to me as though they are fully covered, but I haven't been one her since the redo.
