Moving online booking to Travel Agent before final payment

My understanding is that you can move it at any time. I did mine just before final payment last time. It's a very easy process.

We do it for the price as we get a 12-15% discount with a well known online TA. Average savings is over $1,000 per cruise. There have been time where she (TA) was able to get us HAL promos after we booked such as a hotel room in Vancouver and Explore 4 at the lower price we paid. HAL PCC couldn't do either of these.

I booked my cruise with my PCC. I got $300. for the explore 4. $200 for my FCC. I will get $250. for owning Carnival stock. I then called my on line TA. They actually told me my PCC retains his commission. My on line agency gave me $700. and then an additional $100. because it was a special anniversary for them. This was for a 14 day cruise. My on line TA is very knowledgeable. Now, I can't call and talk to her but if I email her, I get a very fast response. I can call and she will call me back but that is often inconvenient. I really prefer email. Everything is in writing that way. I also get a loyalty card after I return from a cruise and usually get $25. for that. I don't think I got one my last cruise as I can't fine it. I guess I got enough.

We transferred to our on line TA because they gave us $1180 off the fare and another $500 OBC. That is a huge difference to us.
