My Time Dining hours

I have an upcoming cruise on the Independence. I have My Time dining and was setting up the dining time for each night. I swear on our other cruises the dining for My Time started at 5:30pm. You could pick times every 15 minutes. On line they show it starting at 6PM. Does anyone recall it starting earlier like I thought it did at 5:30pm?

It may vary by ship, but I have seen MTD starting earlier than the first traditional dining time.

Starting times for dinner can vary depending upon the demographic profile of the passenger list, the itinerary, or a decision made by the Captain or perhaps the Cruise Director. We have been on ships, not necessarily the Independence, where dining began as early as 5:30 or as late as 6:30. One of the beauties of MTD, IMO, is the flexibility it offers which allows you to set a time that best accommodates your personal schedule.

Thanks for your replies. I called and they said on it starts at 6pm. They said some ships it's earlier. I can check again once I get aboard just to make sure.
