Skagway destination ideas

The NPS visitor center is worth a look, informative movie, some exhibits.

I like the Skagway Hardware Store, "if they don't have it, you don't need it" :) I really like architecture (which I enjoy with all my trips) so Skagway is loaded with it.

This map, has the building dates if you care to do a short walk up and down Broadway. http://skagway.com/walking-tour-and-trail-maps/broadway-street-map/

We are going to do some "panning for gold" at the Back Alley Rock Shop. It's gotten some good reviews from CC'ers, and they gold pan on the hour. Last time I was in Skagway, I had lunch at a fantastic pub - all the way down Broadway on the right side - kind of off the beaten track, it was locals eating there rather than tourists.

Is the back alley rock shop within walking distance of cruise dock?

With no mobility limitations, yes Just go down Broadway- left side, turn left at the ally between 4th and 5th Streets.
