TheTruthCanHurt Posted July 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2015 HI, I saw a post on this, but is seems to be back from 2010 and at that point it seemed like there might have been more speculation than actual experience. At least , by now I am thinking there have been many more people with experience in both.... Let me begin.... I have a cruise booked coming up on the Oasis. I am going with one of my dear friends. Normally we get separate rooms, typically connecting balconies. I had received a free balcony from the casino, and after reviewing the options (at the time) we decided to pay an upgrade and both share a starboard side crown loft suite. She said she was totally fine taking the pull out couch, and by doing the CLS we would get the benefits of the coastal kitchen and since she is relatively new to RCCL ( only 3 cruises) the added bonus of the concierge/ drinks, etc would make it work the deal.... NOW here is my question a Royal family suite became available with no difference in fair ( actually it's cheaper but we have past final payment, so I am sure there would be no compensation. ( although I would ask anyways). so.... Here is the debate 1. with the RFS we would get 2 bedrooms, instead of 1 and a pullout 2. with the CL it's right next to the concierge lounge and the Coastal kitchen anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Rare chfenton Posted July 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2015 We went through the same debate and for us the benefits of being on 17 outweighed a 2nd bedroom (especially since it was for the kids). Besides the proximity to CC and suite lounge we also like the feel of 17 much better. Fewer rooms, wider halls, near activity on 16 and 15 as well. Easy decision for us. Llmtax2000 Posted July 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 28, 2015 The shower in the master bedroom in the CLS is unbelievable -- it has two shower heads and a rain shower in the middle. Not to be missed! (Then again, you'd have to flip for it ...) The views in the CLS are unparalleled! It's hard to describe the amazing feeling waking up with that two story view. I'd have a hard time passing it up. (But if you gave different awake/sleep hours, you might never enjoy it...)
