oma&opa Posted July 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Does our "cruise" begin in Fairbanks? That is, our room accommodations and three meals a day are included? Because we have booked a suite on the ship, are there differing accommodations in the hotel and lodge?
dakrewser Posted July 30, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Your hotel room is included, but no meals on land (unless your on an excursion which specifically states that a meal is included). The hotel rooms are much the same for all guests.
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2015 There are some hotel rooms that people feel are better than others mainly because of views, etc. But just because you are in a suite, doesn't guarantee that you would get a nicer room. cp556 Posted July 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2015 From experience, I can tell you that the hotel rooms on the land portion in Alaska are equivalent no matter what cruise ship cabin category you have booked.

Took tour first, so we could decompress on the cruise. Best cruise/tour of our lives. Everything about the trip was perfect. Hope your experience proves as good. All accommodations are included. Tour excursions and meals are on your own dime. Onboard we choose the lower Promenade. We had the third cabin from stern, starboard. Was called obstructed view. But this cabin was wonderful view. Couple we were traveling with had the cabin one closer to the stern...they couldn't see squat. IN FACT, we are sailing Zandam 3/2016 Chile to Buenos Aires, and book SAME cabin. SMOOTH SAILING-hope you get to see Denali.
