Junebug08 Posted July 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Part of my group of 12 waited till late to do the online check in and now 8 of us have a 9:30 check in and 4 of us have a 12:30 check in . We called but they say they cannot change the time for us. If our 12:30 friends come with us what are the odds they will let them check in and board at 9:30 with the rest of us?
rvsullivan Posted July 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Probably be ok, but don't expect to check in and boardat 9:30. You will be hanging out for a while, they will still be off loading passengers at 9:30.
vince_g Posted July 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2015 (edited) When are you sailing? Really don't know how strict they are with those times; I've read varying opinions on here. If you go onto the NCL website, then sign in and click online checkin, you do have the opportunity to edit your arrival times. Sounds like the rep got a bit lazy there and just gave you a line. And yes, as RSullivan says, no one is boarding until 11:30 or so anyway. Too bad your group didn't agree on a check in time. pumpkin228 Posted July 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2015 May I suggest you wait until the 12:30 time to check in! At 9:30 they aren't even close to done getting people off the ship from the previous cruise so you will sit in the waiting area for at least an hour and a half but likely longer than that! Unless someone in your party is gold or platinum latitudes you won't be able to check you friends in. Good luck! Enjoy your trip!
Texasmotherofthree Posted August 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2015 We sailed this past week and had a check in time of 11:30. We arrived at the port 10:15 and were checked in within 20 minutes. Easiest check in ever. We were handed a yellow card with boarding group number and at that time it was group 20. Boarding started at 11:30 and by 11:45 they were at group 11. Then a crew member came around telling everyone feel free to board now. So for our cruise embarking July 26 the check in time and boarding number were irrelevant. We were dropping bags at our room by 11:50 am.
