Email Telling arrival time

Just got an email from carnival saying they are doing staggered check-ins. How strict are they on this. I like to get to the port early since I fly in the night before. My time is between 1-2.

Go when you want. This is an email sent to everyone with different times to try to stager the arrival of guests. Especially if you purchased faster to the fun, don't go by their time.

Unless your ship is coming off a transatlantic or other itinerary that did not start and end in your embarkation port, you can pretty much ignore that email and arrive at the port when you want. If you show up for check in a couple of hours prior to your email indicated time, they won't stop you.

Whew! I sure hope you guys are right. We have FTTF and plan to board earlier. Besides, we are staying at a hotel the night before that provides parking and shuttle to the port. We would have to check out in the AM and wait until mid-afternoon to board if we followed the email instructions. I think we're heading to the terminal early just like we had planned.
