Beaches with shade

First time going to Curacao and looking to go to a beach - but we have to have some sort of shade. Being from the 'Great White North' we just can't take 4 hours in the sun! :)

I've been scouring hundreds of pictures and can't find any beach with much shade other than a few cabanas or a few palm trees. I would imagine these would be taken up early. We are used to being able to rent chairs AND an umbrella but can't find a single pic that show umbrellas.

Any suggestions? Or.. should we look at a day pass through a Hotel?

Pirate Bay has trees right on the beach. Very close to port and $4 per person car fare.

All of the best beaches are towards the West Point. All of them are mostly secluded with some of the bigger ones having some table and cabanas available on a first come basis. The drive is about 30-40 minutes but it is definitely worth it if you are looking for some of the clearest waters you will ever see.
