benona Posted August 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2015 We are on Allure (Med) in October and the Rugby World Cup is on in England throughout September & October. What are the chances that we will be able to see any of the matches onboard?
gingernm Posted August 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2015 If they're on ESPN, then theres a slim chance. But as you will be on a port intensive cruise, you may be able to catch some games (lunch time & mid afternoon) at a bar in port. Rob.

Beachcampin Posted August 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) They have ESPN international on the ships so you may have a better shot then trying to catch a US based game. We've seen the Superbowl onboard, but that gets an international broadcast. We also saw the cricket world cup. I'm not a big fan of cricket, but several crew members were following it and it was fun watching it with them and talking about their teams. What are the chances that we will be able to see any of the matches onboard? Since you put it that way, I'd say the "chances" are good. IMO this is an area where Royal is inconsistent, but they are sensitive to the desires of the passengers on board. For me that has been primarily Americans cruising in the Caribbean, but I have heard similar stories. I would certainly ask around when on board.
