Epic obstructed view balconies

We are booked on the Med cruise in November on the Epic with a guaranteed balcony. What are obstructed view balconies, both full and partial obstruction. Is it a view of the lifeboats hanging right outside the balcony?

This is our first time on NCL.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong here but I don't remember the Epic having any obstructed balconies. There are some "hull" balconies at the front of the ship, is that what you mean by obstructed?

I don't believe that any are classified as such, however, most balconies on Deck 8 are one deck above the lifeboats. I had a balcony on that deck and when I found out about the view, I moved up to deck 12. I did not feel like seeing the top of a lifeboat every time that I went on the balcony. However, that might not bother everyone.
