Taxi in Tortola to go to beach

How difficult to get a taxi in Tortola? We are planning to take a taxi to Brewers Bay beach and we want to stay away from cruise excursions.

Would we find the taxi to go back to the ship?

Mike you'll see several taxis at the dock waiting to transport folks to different places. Most will be taking folks to Cane Garden Bay and others will be providing tours, you will be directed to a taxi taking folks to Brewers for ~$8pp each way...

In our experience from before on other islands we arrange with the taxi driver when to come back to pick us up - and they have always been there.
