It's funny that you say that he was a great shopping guide and very personable while our CD was Ken Rush who was filling in for Jimmy Rhodes and Ken was meh, he was ok but not very active around the ship

You may find out in this thread a few months in advance if the CDs are reasonably sure of their schedules. You can also request that info from [noparse]web_reservations@rccl.com[/noparse] about 3 weeks before the cruise.

Web_reservTions 90 percent of time will give you the wrong date of CD even calling Dimond plus will give wrong info trust me it's been proven,the best way is contacting the cd on media or wait until somebody get off the cruise and come back on this thread with the right info

Since you are booked on the ship, why don't you send RCI an email and ask them? web_reservations@rccl.com (However, their response is often incorrect, but it is better than nothing and it gives us something to work with in trying to figure it out)

 

Also, you can post on the roll call for the next sailing, and see if someone can find out from Casey, or you can contact Casey on social media and ask him.

Is there a general length of time that CDs stay on a ship? We are sailing Allure in Feb.

Is there a general length of time that CDs stay on a ship? We are sailing Allure in Feb.

On some ships, a regular CD is assigned for up to 3 years. He/she will work approx 4 months on and have a 2 month break. Sometimes the same CD covers the breaks (so 2 months on and 4 months off), and other times, the covering CD varies.

 

On other ships, different CDs are assigned, and the length of their contract is variable.

 

Allure used to have a regular 4 month CD and a regular 2 month fill-in CD, but there was some shuffling around, and no solid regular rotation pattern has emerged.

 

For Allure, my guess (and it is only a guess) is that Dru will be the new 4 month CD, but how the rotation there plays out remains to be seen. That would put him on until the end of December, and off in Jan and Feb.

Does anyone know when Abe's rotation will be over on the Anthem? I know it said for 4 months. We're sailing on 12/23 and we'll either just make it or just miss him. I haven't heard great things about John Blair. I sailed with Abe when he was an Activities Manager on the Navigator.
